The People of Wilson Woodcraft
Eric Thompson
Eric graduated high school in 1995 and started working for us in 1999. Eric grew up on a dairy farm just outside of Argyle, Wisconsin where he learned how to work hard. When he came here, he was just starting to learn his craft. His experience was similar to mine.
He was also lucky enough to stumble across the best thing that ever happened in his life when he met and married his lovely wife Krista. Krista and Eric live in Mount Horeb. In July of 2010 they were blessed with their first child, a beautiful little girl, Hattie Lenora.
Life is simple, work hard during the day and spend time with your family in your free time. It has been a pleasure to be a part of Eric’s continual evolution into not only a true craftsman but also a quality person in every meaning of the word.
Scott & Cheri Wilson
Back in the late 70’s, I happened to stumble on the best thing in my life.
Yup that’s right, Cheri Lofgren, a little Norwegian girl with long strawberry blonde hair from Argyle, Wisconsin. They say I’m not too bright but, I was smart enough to marry her. We got married in 1981.
Since then Cheri has had the time of her life. We live in a renovated farmhouse that was built in the early 1900’s as a granary. It’s very cozy and is home to us and our two bird dogs Tootie & Ty. They don’t know it yet, but they will be getting another sister in the fall of 2011.
We enjoy a simple life maintaining our properties, fishing, training our dogs and hunting with them, or just hanging out together. Cheri also enjoys reading and doing needlework while I watch my favorite sporting events on TV.
We started Wilson Woodcraft in 1981. In the past 30 years we have seen a lot of competitors come and go. I don’t think that will ever change. My time in this industry has shown me you have to be a good company to stick around. First you must have great customers who are loyal, then you need to treat them right by giving them great craftsmanship and awesome service at an affordable price.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our clients. You are the reason we are still in business. THANKS!
- Scott
